Russia fires missile, capable of carrying hypersonic warheads, from Europe to Asia in test of nuclear submarine in Far North

Moscow’s Ministry of Defense has announced that a nuclear submarine successfully launched a ballistic missile from in the White Sea, close to the Arctic Circle, marking the latest in a series of Russian naval rocket-firing tests.

On Thursday, officials revealed that the Knyaz Oleg submarine had completed its final stage of technical assessments after launching a Bulava missile. The rocket took off from the White Sea, an inland body of water close to Scandinavia, and was confirmed to have struck ground at the Kura firing range in Kamchatka, more than 6,000 kilometers east of Moscow.

“The strategic missile cruiser Knyaz Oleg, as part of the state test program, fired a Bulava ballistic missile from the White Sea. The rocket was launched from a submerged position at the Kura training ground in Kamchatka,” the military department said in a statement, adding, “the missile warheads have successfully arrived in the specified area at the estimated time.”

Beijing’s recent hypersonic missile test launch may have just rendered all Washington’s defense systems useless

China has conducted a test of space launch technology that, if adapted for use as a nuclear weapons system, could nullify US defenses against Chinese missile attacks.
Together, Russia and China have just made moot trillions of dollars in US defense spending.

A report published in the Financial Times declared that, sometime in August 2021, China had conducted a test of a nuclear-capable hypersonic glide vehicle that flew through low-orbit space, circling the globe before deorbiting and heading toward its target. According to sources, the test demonstrated “an advanced space capability that caught US intelligence by surprise.”

Biden defies longstanding US policy by telling CNN town hall he WOULD defend Taiwan if it was attacked by China, forcing White House to issue 'clarification' contradicting president

White House advisers were forced to 'clarify' a comment by Joe Biden that the US would defend Taiwan in the event of an attack by China, in breach of a longstanding policy that states otherwise.

'Yes,' he responded when asked in a CNN town hall about defending Taiwan. 'We have a commitment to that.'

Biden's statement was at odds with the long-held US policy known as 'strategic ambiguity,' where Washington helps build Taiwan's defenses but does not explicitly promise to come to the island's help in the event of an attack.

Rand Paul launches fresh attack on Fauci after NIH admits it DID fund gain of function research: Senator says DOJ is too busy going 'after moms complaining about what they teach in school' to investigate

Senator Rand Paul slammed COVID tsar Dr. Anthony Fauci after the National Institutes of Health finally admitted to funding gain of function research on bat coronaviruses in it's Wuhan laboratory - despite Fauci's denials to congress that any such research took place.

Paul had confronted Fauci earlier this year of lying about the NIH's involvement in coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a claim Fauci fought back against, calling Paul a liar.

The senator had also faced public backlash for attack Fauci, who serves as a director for the NIH's Institute of Infectious Diseases, and who enjoyed a status of popularity as the nation's expert on COVID-19.

Biden REPEATS his debunked claim that his multi-trillion dollar spending plan costs nothing and says people don't understand what's in it

Joe Biden repeated his questionable claim Thursday night that his multi-trillion spending plan will not cost anything, which some experts have called 'delusional.'

The president made the remark at the top of his town hall meeting on CNN, saying: 'By the way, all this paid for. Every single penny. It's not going to raise one single cent.'

Biden also acknowledged that his congressional agenda is hard to understand. He has two pieces of legislation he's pushing: his infrastructure plan that funds traditional projects like roads, bridges and airports and he has a second plan that focuses on social programs. That second plan has been called a budget package, a reconcilitation bill, and his Build Back Better bill.

JUST IN: Alec Baldwin Accidentally Shoots and Kills Crew Member on Movie Set

Alec Baldwin on Thursday accidentally shot and killed a crew member on a movie set while filming the western “Rust” in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

According to Deadline, Baldwin discharged a prop gun that killed one member and injured another.

The fatal shooting is currently under criminal investigation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Shades of Brandon Lee and "The Crow!"

When I worked on LOST, there was a strict policy against functioning guns on the set. They used "unguns" which were fabricated to look authentic, but could not be loaded with a real bullet or even a normal blank round. Instead, there was an electrically fired pyrotechnic charge to create the flash and smoke of a real firing. I was unable to locate the company that makes them on the web and maybe they went out of business, but again, the tragic experience during the filming of "The Crow" should have been a reminder that any gun, even a prop gun, can be a danger if mishandled.

'I guess I should go down': Joe Biden gives lukewarm answer when grilled about why he hasn't visited southern border during CNN town hall: Insists he's been too busy inspecting hurricane damage and 'traveling around the world'

President Joe Biden said he 'guesses' he should check out the southern border for himself in a town hall Thursday night, days after new data revealed that a record number of migrants were taken into US custody this year.

Asked by Cooper if he should go down to the border amid record crossings and condemnation of his strategy to tackle illegal immigration, Biden said: 'I've been there before ... I know it well ... I guess I should go down.'

He cited recent hurricanes and world travel as reasons why he hasn't had 'a whole hell of a lot of time to get down.

'Trump's DOJ was political? Are you kidding?' Republicans grill Biden's AG Merrick Garland as he defends FBI school board memo, insists parents are entitled to protest and denies calling them domestic terrorists

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee are tearing into Biden's Attorney General Merrick Garland at his first appearance before the panel on Thursday.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) kicked off Garland's hearing on a raucous note with an opening statement attacking Garland and his Democratic colleagues.

'The chairman just said Trump's DOJ was political. Are you kidding me?' Jordan asked in response to Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler's opening statement.

He accused the DOJ of 'opening a snitch line on parents' with his memo announcing a crackdown on school board meeting incidents and giving lawmakers who asked about it 'the finger.'

'Republicans on this committee have sent the Attorney General 13 letters in the last six months,' he said. 'Eight of the letters, we've got nothing - they just gave us the finger.'

'Folks all around the country, they tell me, for the first time they are afraid of their government.'

AG Merrick Garland Admits He Took Word of National School Boards Association to Target Parents as ‘Domestic Terrorists’

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee Thursday he took the word of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) that parents voicing concerns at their local school board meetings should be targeted as “domestic terrorists.”

Jim Jordan (R-OH), who pressed the attorney general on the fact that the very first sentence of his memorandum dated October 4 stated:

Exclusive — Sen. Roger Marshall: Dishonorable Discharge for Military ‘Refusing the Vaccines’ Will ‘Lose Their Second Amendment,’ ‘Won’t Be Able to Vote,’ ‘Lose Their VA Benefits’ and ‘Retirement Plans’

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) highlighted the consequences of a dishonorable discharge, a possible outcome for military personnel refusing to comply with vaccine mandates imposed by the Biden administration across the U.S. armed forces, on Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with special guest host Jerome Hudson.

Marshall remarked, “The White House wants to give servicemembers a dishonorable discharge if they’re separated because of refusing the vaccine. [Americans must] understand the significance of a dishonorable discharge. Those folks will be treated as felons. They’ll never be able to get a job, again. They lose their Second Amendment. In some states, they won’t be able to vote, again. They lose their VA benefits, access to the VA hospitals, retirement plans.”

NASA Engineer Prepared to Retire After 37 Years if Religious Exemption to Vaccine Mandate Denied

A NASA employee is prepared to retire after 37 years with the agency if her religious exemption request to the federal vaccine mandate is denied.

Fox News reports that NASA engineer Sophia Smith is ready to retire if her religious exemption is not granted by NASA. In an October 21 interview with Fox and Friends, the long-time NASA employee explained why she personally chooses not to get the vaccine.

“I believe my body is God’s temple,” Smith told Fox and Friends. “All three of vaccine[s] use stem cells as either development or testing, and as a pro-life, I just do not believe that’s the right thing to do.”

Smith told Fox and Friends that she stands firmly in her belief that it is her First Amendment right to choose if she gets vaccinated or not:

“So I’m stand[ing] firm, particularly in fighting for the constitutional right … our First Amendment right,” Smith told Fox and Friends. “That’s our rally. We call it the constitutional rally.”

Fact Check: Biden Claims He Brought Country Back from Brink of Financial Collapse

CLAIM: “Under my Administration, we’ve gone from the brink of financial collapse to historic job growth. We have a lot of work to do still – but this is progress,” President Joe Biden tweeted Thursday.

Verdict: False.

Jobless claims remain well above their expected long-term average of 270,000 and never once during Biden’s administration did they fall below 300,000 prior to this month. Total employment remains below its prepandemic level and the prime-age employment to population ratio is still depressed.

Over half of students reported feeling 'institutional betrayal' at a university during the pandemic

The first survey found 67% of students reported experiencing at least one type of coronavirus-related institutional betrayal. That level dipped slightly in the second survey, which found that 55% of students reported the same. Both surveys found that those feelings were linked to trauma.

Students reported the same most common instances of institutional betrayal in both studies: creating environments "where transmission and/or safety violations seemed common or normal," as well as "where transmission and/or safety violations seemed more likely to occur."

Among the least commonly reported forms of institutional betrayal — experienced by 10% of students in the first survey — were punishment for expressing concerns and denying an experience related to COVID-19 in some way.

The researchers offered several explanations for why a lower share of students reported at least one type of institutional betrayal in the second survey.

US Seals Agreement To End European Digital Taxes

The United States has resolved a key point of trade friction with Europe after inking a deal to end controversial digital services taxes on American tech giants.

Washington said Thursday it will remove punitive tariffs on products from Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Britain as part of the deal -- a critical step in improving frayed relations even though the duties were never imposed.

Under the joint agreement, those countries will end taxes on Big Tech companies once a global minimum corporate tax deal takes effect, which is expected in 2023.

Any levies paid for the DSTs in the interim will be credited to future tax bills, according to the deal.

Amazon Faces New Union Organizing Push In US

Workers at an Amazon warehouse in New York are seeking to unionize, the organizing group said Thursday, six months after a similar attempt in Alabama failed.

Laborers vying to form the first union at the e-commerce colossus in the United States will file with US officials on Monday with the goal of holding an election.

Amazon Labor Union (ALU), the organizing group, said the company is fighting the effort.

"Since the campaign has launched, Amazon has not wasted any time union busting," the ALU said in a statement.

"We have endured the same strategies used in Bessemer, Alabama, from signs in the bathrooms and breaks, to the same union-busting firms and consultants being brought in to walk around the workplace and divide the workers."

‘Simply monstrous’: Putin says teaching young children they can easily swap genders is a ‘borderline crime against humanity’

A growing campaign in the West to do away with gender-based language defies reason and is subverting human nature, Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed, arguing children should not be taught biological sex does not exist.

“The discussion about the rights of men and women has turned into a total phantasmagoria in a number of Western countries,” Putin said in a speech to dignitaries and reporters at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, Russia on Thursday. “Those who risk saying that men and women still exist, and that this is a biological fact, are virtually ostracized.”

He listed examples, such as banning words like “mother” and “father” in favor of terms like “parent one and parent two”, as well as “banning the phrase ‘breast milk’ and replacing it with ‘human milk’ so that people insecure about their own gender wouldn’t get upset.”

Israel is picking so many fights on multiple fronts that several wars could break out at any time. Meanwhile, the US stays silent

Tensions are at boiling point with Palestinians again, while spats have broken out with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Ansarullah in Yemen, and the Algerian and Syrian governments. Are the Israelis deliberately seeking conflict?

Israeli police forces this week raided the Damascus Gate (Bab al-Amud), located at the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City, injuring at least 70 unarmed Palestinians, who had set up celebrations for the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, considered to be a Palestinian national holiday.

At least 35 Palestinians were arrested, the majority of them children, two local journalists were also detained and a paramedic was assaulted, along with countless women and children, many of them passersby. The assaults at Bab al-Amud intensified on Wednesday, when far-Right Israeli Knesset members, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, stormed the site under heavy police protection, as a means of provoking Palestinians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And when Israel finally starts those wars, YOU will pay for them and YOUR children will be killed and crippled in them!

‘Not in treaty’: Hungary’s Orban sides with Poland, rejects EU law primacy ahead of bloc’s summit

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has once again challenged the idea of the primacy of EU law, accusing Brussels of attempts to infringe upon the rights of the national governments as he arrived at an EU summit on Thursday.

Orban dismissed the idea of imposing sanctions against Poland over its decision to make EU law subordinate to its national legislation by calling such measures ridiculous. He also praised Poland as “one of the best European countries,” adding that “there is no need for any sanctions.”

Earlier, the EU Commission head, Ursula von der Leyen, warned Warsaw it would face penalties over the move. She said Poland encroached upon the “foundations” of the union. Orban, however, believes that EU law primacy has nothing to do with any EU foundations in the first place.
